Catching up.

So yea I've failed at keeping this blog up. This deployment hit me like a ton of lead weights. Quite honestly, I've been too busy treading water in this life I have to even attempt to take a moment and type something up.

I have now managed to find my niche and get situated with the way things are. I must say I've done a good bit to insure that. The busier I am the less time I have to sit and dwell on the issues I can not change. :)

Nothing else is really new in my life. The kids are doing expectational at school as usual. Things two is having some slight issues with the deployment and his feelings but that is to be expected I guess.

I think this summer the kids and I will attack the house. Maybe painting a room or two and rearranging the bedrooms or something really time consuming. This weekend we have already started a veggie garden and they are excited to see it grow as last year they were down visiting family when it was harvest time..

So here I go..another day down and another one waiting before us!

Gearing up

So the new year is here. In our household we are having a lot of changes occuring. We are having to gear up for (wait for it............) DEPLOYMENT. Fun stuff right there. It is right around the corner and I'm finding so many more things I need (well want would be a better word for it) to get done to send along with my husband.

I'm having a really hard time this go around trying to work myself up for it after the last 3 years we've had. However, I MUST pull myself and my family up by the bootstraps and get with it.

I am sure I will. I have no other choice but to DO, Preform, Make the magic happen! There is no one else TO do it BUT ME!

Yay!
I feel a lot better now.
I do believe I'm over it.

I'm back!!

Life came and SWEPT me away for entirely too long. So here I again. I'm hoping I will be able to keep this blog updated this coming year. My husband is due for a deployment come the new year. He will be gone for 7 months. As for the update here it goes!!

Thing 1 is now in 2nd grade and is doing EXCELLENT! She made her 1st B ever on her report card and was devastated. That's ok though we explained to her that even a B is good but to keep striving for the A.

Thing 2 is now in Pre-k. It has been a rough road for him. I'm glad he is in Pre-k though hopefully he will get all the crazy out before Kindergarten. Somehow I doubt that though. I suspect i'll be getting a lot of calls for his entire school career.

I'm still a SAHM. Thinking about getting a job doing something to pass the time. We'll see how that plays out.

Yea Happy Birthday

So It is my birthday today. I am alone today with the kids as usual. Feeling kind of bummed. Next thing I know thing 1 comes and hands me a "package" wrapped in random paper and duct tape. She says she made me a birthday present. I attempted to open it all 12 layers of duct tape and what did she give me????? A bag of microwave popcorn! She even made me a birthday card which was quite impressive since she hasn't started school yet. She had totally wrote out happy birthday dawn on it. So sweet!

At least I know the kids do love me.

Chaos

Sitting here thinking about what to write I look over and realize that my house is utter chaos at the moment. Thing 1 is rambling about something.... Not paying attention since I am busy typing this but chances are it has to do with something on the TV. Thing 2 is now holding his pretzels with his toes. Toys are everywhere. OK so it doesn't really sound like chaos but it feels like it is. HA HA. These two kids feel like there are really 10 here. Hurricane and Tornado are their other nick names and they sure do live up to it. Oh and forget about dinner. I just don't have it in me to cook. blah! What a day today has been.
